TAG Mission Statement: Jenna's Rainbow Foundation raises funds to improve the quality of life for families with a child who has a brain tumor.
The Teen Action Group teen board of directors: formed in September 2010 and is made up of teens who have been involved in volunteering in a wide range of Jenna's Rainbow Foundation activities over many years prior to middle school. Teen Action Group works with the mission of "TAG" one teen tagging another to provide help and healing to teens with brain tumors.
The first "FUN" raising event of TAG was held Friday night Dec 3rd 2010 at Citisports on RT 4 (formerly hoop zone). There was recreational activities, pizza, and music for kids in any town grades 6,7,8. Admission helped to bring future recreation activities to teens struggling with brain tumors from many communities.
WE NEED YOUR HELP- HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED!!
Sign up and Spread the word. TELL US YOU WANT TO BE PART OF THIS NEW EVENT COMMITTEE.
How can you help? Do your best to raise money for extra donations. You can even ask kids, family, and adult friends to donate any amount of money - even spare change - to make this event a success. Think of ways to tell them about the work of JRF. Help them to visit the JRF website. You can use a copy of a letter we give you to explain what you are doing and to learn about JRF. Set a personal goal for how much money you want to raise for JRF Teens.
Let us know that you want to sell rubber JRF bracelets and ask us how to get started!
Anyone can be on the event committee! Just tell us! Event committee members will be thanked on the JRF website and you will receive a community service certificate and thanks from JENNA'S RAINBOW FOUNDATION.
If you want to be on the event committee, contact one of our TAG Teen Board Members. They are Sophia Barbanel, Noah Kasten, Josh Kovar, Sydney Steiner, Jeffrey Teicher, and Brett Wachtel.
If your parent wants to speak to an adult about this, have them email Linda Wachtel at linda.wachtel@jennasrainbow.org for more information.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!!
