Wachtel Award

Jenna's Rainbow Foundation is proud to announce the establishment of the Tory Wachtel Award for Courage and Character. Created by friends and family of Tenafly (NJ) High School's class of 2004, the Wachtel Award is named to honor Tenafly High School graduate and brain tumor survivor Tory Wachtel. JRF, too, has contributed to this award in an effort to acknowledge the struggles of students who have faced pediatric cancers and other life- threatening illnesses.

The Wachtel award will give future graduating seniors the opportunity to be recognized for their unique life experiences and accomplishments. Beginning in June 2005, recipients will receive a plaque and a financial award at the Tenafly High School Award Ceremony. In addition, names of students receiving such recognition each year will be placed on a permanent plaque in the school’s library.

A special thanks to the Moss and Tapper families, Ella Urdang and Rich Lehmann for initiating this project and inviting JRF to participate.
